Nantucket Cottage Hospital Staff Celebrates Reopening of Main Hospital Entrance

Just 13 months after opening its doors to a brand new $89 million facility, Nantucket Cottage Hospital closed its main entrance at the Percelay Pavilion to limit unmonitored access during the COVID-19 pandemic and to launch one of the first drive-through COVID-19 testing sites in the state. To celebrate the reopening hospital staff enjoyed ice cream served by hospital President and CEO, Gary Shaw, and Bruce Percelay, major hospital supporter and head of the hospital’s capital campaign.

WBZ plans new studio complex on Soldiers Field Road

City officials have signed off on a new studio for WBZ-TV in Allston, which could in turn make room for more large-scale new development in the fast-changing neighborhood. A venture between two veteran Boston developers — National Development and Mount Vernon Co. — won Boston Planning & Development Authority approval Thursday to build a 63,000-square-foot studio along Soldiers Field Road.
